Simple, cute, delicious, this is my fun food watermelon ladybird/ladybug.

Healthy party food for children ladybird ladybug

Recipe

– Watermelon

– Blueberries

– Dark plum

– I used a little apple for the eyes (any light coloured fruit or yoghurt would be great)

Method

1. Cut a body shape from the watermelon.

Ladybird - 1 body (1 of 1)

2. Then I sliced a plum cheek to make the head.

Ladybird - 2 head (1 of 1)

3. And cut a groove to show off the wings.

Ladybird - 3 wings (1 of 1)

4. Before adding the iconic spots.

Ladybird - 4 spots (1 of 1)

5. I used more of the plum to show the body beneath the wings.

Ladybird - 5 inside wings (1 of 1)

6. Then I sliced some plum very thinly for the antennae.

Ladybird - 6 antennae (1 of 1)

7. Before cutting some disks of apple with blueberry halves on top for eyes.

Ladybird - 7 eyes (1 of 1)

8. And there emerges the ladybird …
