July 4th “Cake”
I would have so loved to have made this from fresh berries …… but alas mid-winter is not a good time to be finding them on our beautiful, little, isolated island ….
Fortunately the taste compensated and my boys were suitably delighted to be gorging themselves on berries!
Here’s my fun food, red, white and blue “cake”.
– Yoghurt (or coconut cream)
I had to use frozen fruit but it would look so much better with fresh fruit!
1.Make the shape of a cake from yoghurt. I decided on three tiers.
2.I used blueberries to make the bottom layer.
3.Then raspberries for the second layer.
4.And added a blueberry outline to the third layer.
5.Before making a “4th” from strawberry.
6.And some strawberry stars too.
7.I finished with some yoghurt streamers for the stars.
