Salad Nest

The boys and I were sharing lunch so we went for an Easter-ish theme!!

Here’s our Salad Nest, perfect with some coleslaw, fresh corn and home-made mayonnaise.

Real eggs for Easter Salad Nest


– Lettuce (or any greens)

– Spinach

– Carrot

– Basil (or other herb)

– Boiled eggs


1. Cut the lettuce and spinach into strips and form into a nest shape.

Salad Nest - 1 lettuce (1 of 1)

2. Use a grater or sharp knife to cut strips of carrot.

Salad Nest - 2 carrot (1 of 1)

3. Add additional lettuce/spinach.

Salad Nest - 3 spinach (1 of 1)

4. Then some peeled, boiled eggs.

Salad Nest - 4 Eggs (1 of 1)

5. Place some herbs around the side.

Salad Nest - 5 Basil (1 of 1)

6. And it’s ready to eat.
