Apple Whale

Apples are in season and there are so many varieties to try. The boys love the crisp, sweet red ones!

Here’s my fun food, Apple Whale.

Sugar free snacks Apple Whale

Recipe

– Red apple

– Blueberries

Method

1. Slice the cheek of the apple to form the body of the whale.

2. Add a little tail.

Apple Whale - 2 tail-1

3. Then some water jets coming out of the blow hole.

Apple Whale - 3 water-1

4. Cut a big eye from apple.

Apple Whale - 4 eye-1

5. And a happy smile.

Apple Whale - 5 smile-1

6. Form the sea from some blueberries.

Apple Whale - 6 sea-1

7. Have a whale of a time!

    This is too cute, did you use fresh or frozen Blueberries? When do they come into season? My lot eat a punnet in 1 go, so this will be a good distraction.

      Hi Cassandra, unfortunately this time of the year it’s frozen blueberries – although my boys love them and prefer to eat them when still hard!! Usually we start seeing blueberries Dec but full season is Jan/Feb. Judith 🙂
